Dear parents / guardians and past pupils,
I write, to invite you to join us at Monkton Wood Academy (previously Heathfield school), on 9th January, from 1815-1900.
This is an opportunity to collect your GCSE certificates and celebrate your achievements.
GCSE certificates are important documents for future education and employment. They are expensive to replace and are legally the property of the child, who took the exams. Therefore, we ask that pupils attend, to sign for their certificates. We will not be able to hand these over to anyone, other than the child who sat the exams. Certificates will be arranged alphabetically, in the small hall and entrance will be through main reception. MWA staff will be on hand to support, including several members of the year team that worked with this group of young people.
If you are unable to attend, certificates will be available from school reception until February 9th. However, we didn’t want to let the opportunity pass to see you and catch up on how ‘life after Heathfield’ is going. Equally, if we can continue to support in any way, we’d be delighted to do so.
All the staff at MWA wish you all the best for the future and very much hope you’ll be able to join us, however briefly, on the 9th of January. Yours,
Wil Lowndes, Assistant Principal, MWA
