Budding rock stars, singers, and musicians took part in the highly anticipated annual event – the Cabot Learning Federation Big event, The Battle of the Bands.
Staged at Bristol Brunel Academy, the showcase saw acts from across the federation perform an impressive array of music genres to a packed and enthusiastic audience.
Monkton Wood Academy proudly sent two bands – Distraction and Ultraviolet. Both groups performed brilliantly, giving it their all and putting on an amazing show.
Distraction went on to claim second prize, with drummer Aidan Burke taking home the coveted Drummer of the Night award.

“The passion, energy, and commitment they demonstrated on stage was outstanding.
“This event is a fantastic celebration of young musical talent across our federation, and our bands truly rose to the occasion.
